Took 10 from 40 mouse traps set
in Salicornia along slough bank in runways.
Runways here completely "harrowed"
the ground but most were old and
"flooded out." Of the 10, 7 were caught up
on high ground, but still in thick
Salicornia.

slope in dry grass with P. maricellata

This area a limited one - evidently
had been an old seepage area; now dry.

slope 1/4 mi. from ocean in rye grass
and among Carotlums, monkey's flower,
+ bracken clumps. 4 taken in edge
in area once swampy, now dry -
14 traps set.
June 25, 1937 1/2 mi. W Ferndesse, 300 ft., Marin Co., Calif.
2 taken from 70 traps set in wet meadow
among rye grass, swordfern clumps and
sedges: Night cold and quite foggy -
everything wet the next morning.
