Of the thirty-three, thirty were got mouse traps, one a #0 steel and two rat traps. The rat traps were set near Neotoma buts, however were empty, though spawning; the above wood rat was caught in a got. mouse trap. The steel trap was placed at the opening of a large burrow at the immediate edge of a stream, however yielded nothing. The above locality is on the P.T. Reyes Highway three miles west of Inverness on the west side of Inverness Ridge. The vegetation changes abruptly as one
