On the way back from Bishop to Berkeley we followed the main north-south highway north through Bridgeport, Oleville and Gardenville, then turned west up the Oak Creek road (10 mi. S. Carson City, Nevada), westward which continues with the Placerville or Lincoln Highway. The following skicory was found dead on the highway about 1/2 mi. E. of the Calif.-Nevada state line and resort. The animals back had been broken. It has been given the following number:
