Hooper, 1937 Berkeley, Alameda Co., Calif. May 25, At the locality "St. Vincent, salt marsh, 5 mi. N San Rafael," from 50 mouse traps set in runways in Salicornia I took only 1 animal—a Reithrodontomys fulvescens. From 40 mouse traps set in Salicornia at the locality "1 mi. E San Rafael, salt marsh," I took: 2 Mns. musculus (1 a partial albino) and 10 Micrulus. Rempel caught nothing at either place (20 traps at St. Vincent, 30 at San Rafael) so I gave him 1 Mns. and 3 Micrulus (1jun., 1 7ad. & 1 9 ad.). June 1, In the course of measuring big game skulls and skins for "Records of North American Big Game" (a publication of the Boone and Crockett Club, in care of American Museum of Natural History), I have encountered and made friends with many of the so-called sportsmen of North America. Perhaps I should not say "so-called" for with one or two exceptions (all of about 30 people seen) these men do seem to have a "sporting outlook" as regards big game hunting.
