Hooper, 1937 Berkeley, Clamed Co., Calif. Mar.29, The sharp-shinned hawk pick-up was found along the highway near the head of Tomales Bay, more specifically SW side Tomales Bay, opposite Pt. Reyes Station, Marin Co., Calif. on Mar.26. The following amphibians were collected in leaf litter and around a spring near our cabin in Inverness, 100 ft., Marin Co.: Triturus, Ensatina, Ascides, Batrachops. Other amphibians (all Ryla regilla) were taken in fresh water pools near Pt. Reyes Station, Marin Co. The jack rabbit cranium & lower jaw only was pick'd up in the Salicoma at Reisdue, 2 mi. N Pt. Reyes Station, Marin Co. April 4, While in John Garber Park on north-facing slope of Claremont Canyon, Berkeley, I noted the first Tolmie warble seen this season. It was seen about 2 P.M. foraging in an elderberry and willow thicket. Transition elements [i.e., madrone] may be fine, but the region is chiefly Upper Sonoran. Plants noted are: Calif. bog, live oak, willow, thimblebery, elderberry, alder, poison oak, Baccharis.
