This specimen collected by S.B. Benson
in Andreas Canon, 9,000 ft., Riverside Co.,
Calif. There is a duplication in his collecting
numbers, 1220, one being skin & skull,
one skull only. Therefore to prevent future
confusion I am giving this another number.
Benson himself furnished the specifications.

data was on the original tag; but no
sex or measurements were given.
A search through Benson's field notebook
and the catalogue (of numbers included
in accession 3331, which covered this
trip in the Los Angeles & Kern Co. regions)
fainted of an
failed to reveal any alcoholic D. mohavensis.
Therefore, to guard against future
mixup, I am giving the specimen
my number.
