oper, 1935 10 mi. W. Justine (and Newman), Stanislaus Co., Calif. August 10, This morning I found the following specimens in the traps: 2 Perognathus, 2 Dipodomys, and 5 Peromyscus. Since three of the white-footed mice were not over two months old they were discarded; the other specimens were made into study skins. 7 mi. E. Mariposa, Mariposa Co., Calif. August 11, We are now camped at the above locality, having moved here from across the Valley yesterday afternoon. This camp is located on the property of a Mr. Woodard about 5 mi. E. Mariposa on the Mormon Bar-Wawona road and 2 mi. n. of this road. The zonation is chiefly Upper Sonoran, though a few Yellow Pines indicate that the Transition zone is near, altitudinally. Digger Pine (Pinus sabiniana, Quercus kelloggii, Ceanothus sp., Rhus diversiloba, Alder (Alnus rubra?) Arctostaphylus and Salix sp.? constitute the major portion of the plants present, hhowever.
