Hoffmeister 2/4/71 Peromyscus truei gilberti Berkeley, Calif. Jan 2 (cont.) to the sides and along the lateral line as a narrow band, but not continuing up the sides. Thus in 82 days (nearly 1/2 weeks) this animal had not attained adult, and apparently postjuvenile or subadult pelage. The measurements of the young animal were = 163 - 82 - 22 - 19 = 10.6 grams. The specimen was not preserved.
