seed which I take to be of a watermelon. The specimen was taken near a campsite which I know has recently been used.
I can not match this seed with any gourds as I've seen none in this region, although there may be some.
July 29 Stayville Spg., 5150 ft. Columbia Co., Wash.
Caught 2 adult females in my traps (museum special) set along the trail leading down the creek. Visited traps about 5:45 A.M. and already had these specimens. Dr. Hall pointed out a sexual difference or stage of molt in the pelage of this species.
