Hoffmeister 1939 Itinerary July 5 Columbia R., 300ft, at mouth of Deschutes R., Wasco Co., Ore. Neotoma cinerea ?. The front foot of this "rat" was gone and it had completely healed over. Apparently it had been that way for some length of time. This "peg-legged" specimen was trapped a good 150 feet from the nearest cliffs. A summary of mammals collected at the following places as illustrated by the diagram are: Columbia R. Base camp Wasco Co. Sherman Co. John Day R. Deschutes R.
