Sagehen Creek Field Station, Nevada Co., California
live traps with pb+oat bait in the rock field, and
had already caught 1 ♀ N. cinereus by the time
we finished. 1930. Returned to SCFS.
Checked traps by headlight at 2300 after short
demonstration of various trap types by JLP.
Meadow: 1 ♀ Peromyscus maniculatus in trap #21,
willow saplings and tall grass near stream.
1 ♂ N. cinereus was also caught in the rock field.
Chapparal: ♂ P. maniculatus in trap #3, chaparrat brush
♀ E. amoenus in trap #6, brush
♀ P. maniculatus in trap #7, under
8' pine sapling in brush
♀ P. maniculatus in trap #24, rocky
talus under pines near top, lots of
needles covering ground.
trap #25 sprung, bait stolen - trap placed in
rocky crevice near Neotoma sign.
Returned to SCFS ~ 2400.
