Tilaran to Liberia, Guanacaste Prov, Costa Rica
July, cont. were killed + preserved now. The rest can await karyotyping in a few days. Saw a roadkill Philander about 5 km. SW of Tilarán. We continued NE along Hwy 1 after returning to Cañas via Hwy 19. Arrived at intersection w/rd to Liberia sometime in the early afternoon, ~1400. Sunny, hot humid day. They are preparing for some kind of festival in Liberia - the independence day of Guanacaste, when it broke away from Nicaragua and joined Costa Rica.
