Will have to set the rest tomorrow morning. Got the car stuck in a rut trying to get out for a cup of coffee, so am having to spend the night in the back seat. will deal with all this in the morning. South side of Salinas River mouth, Monterrey Co., California January Got a late start - 0800. Very windy last night but not too cold (nowhere near freezing). Sunny and clear, brisk and gusty wind from the east (offshore), already warm ~13°c. Checked traps- no captures. Hiked around a bit and got very wet - hard to tell from the vegetation just where the standing water is.
