E. Hetzko 1982 Journal! 23 January South side of Salinas River mouth, Monterey Co., California. Left Berkeley @430 without Rick Warner, as I couldn't locate him. Arrived ~ 1715 at Salinas River where it is crossed by Hwy 1. Pacific Ocean Sand Dunes Marsh/Meadow POND Salinas River Bike trail Meadow Fence Agricultural Areas Hwy 1 Marina Castro-Ville (Ami) Parked Here Clear, warm (~60°F) = 16°C. Light east west wind (a-blowing to the west). Sun about to set. I carried two boxes (40 traps) of Longworths along the river to a raised dike, then cut in toward the pond. Set 30 traps baited with oatmeal and peanut butter in a line w/traps set 10 m. apart. Got too dark to
