E. Hesle 1981 Journal Yucca Valley to Darwin Falls, Inyo Co., California May cont. Saw one Perognathus run across the road; a roadkill proved to be P. formosus. Harry's group caught one rattle snake (Crotalus mitchelli) and 1 leaf-nosed snake (Phyllorhynchus decurtatus) in addition to a few Coleonyx. Returned to camp about 2230. Could hear an occasional burro, and lots of burro tracks and feces in the area. Night clear and warm - 23°C. Few [illegible] mosquitoes, mostly moths, anthions, etc. attracted to lantern. Turned in ~2330.
