Stopped at point just 5. of Juebrada Fajas bridge to look at spot on river bank where Paulino had seen a large caiman in times past. Faw sore. Paulino saw what was apparently an iguana here. This area is one of tall, closely-spaced trees growing to the river banks, with many vines and relatively little understory green vegetation. Returned to camp at about 1:30 P.M. and spent rest of day skinning. Nov. 2 Walked via R.R. tracks to a point about 1/8 mile S. of Juebrada Fajas bridge, and returned to camp by same route. See species accounts of Amauro, Colinus, Oryzolasia, Flavicola, Forpus conspicillatus, Brotogeris, caiman, Volatinia, Crotophaga ani, C. subcinestris. Returned to camp at about 1:00 P.M., skinned, and prepared specimens. Day was very hot and sultry; little over-cast. Bird calls and songs decrease noticeably in frequency with increase in heat in late morning it seems to me. Juebrada Fajas and Mezolera
