Collected several from under plate of
"baby tears" (18" x 18" x 2") in '1/2 shade on
the estate grounds. Temp. under one of
the plates (frosting on bare, damp soil)
- 6.5° C. Air in shade at 6" - 7.8° C.
Air in sun at 6" - 11.6° C. (These

March [crossed out] 7 Collected from under sparsely-scattered
pieces of track, rocks, and wood on
railroad right-of-way. Only attenuatus
found (this is, we believe, the locality
where Campbell reported sympatry between
attenuatus and major) Eucalyptus
were the only trees noted at the
