Laimiri Nov. 23 5 km S. Villavicencio, 1600 ft., Meta, Colombia, S.A. Calla, identified by Carlos, were heard several times during the day. Especially, the calls were heard during a spell of heavy overcast and sprinkle of rain drops, when a shower seemed imminent. In the afternoon, at about 2:00 P.M., Carlos shot a ♀ (#1607). Dec. 1 El Miso, 4 km S, 22 km W San Martin, 1600 ft., Meta, Colombia, S.A. Saw 6 or 7 at a distance of '30' - 30 yds.', working leisurely thru the tree near the spring. They were about 10'-20' above the ground most of the time. I was bathing in a pool below- the spring as they approached through the tree. Several seemed to see me, and to peer curiously at me from various points of vantage, but did not seem afraid. When I arose from the water (I had been sitting half-submerged), they immediately began to leave. They left quietly and rather deliberately - there was no wild flight through the forest.
