Hendrickson 1950 Lepidopyga Oct. 24 5km. N. Villarrica, 400 ft., Huila, Colombia, S.A. Upon returning to camp from a collecting foray, found a nest and a dead ? which Perico and Paulino had brought in (bird #1446, nest #1447). They had shot the bird with a slingshot as it sat on the nest. 2 eggs which the nest contained (their observation) had been broken by the stone which killed the female (?). I was unable to sex the bird with certainty.
