Leptotila "Morning Dove" Hendrickson 1950 (tan-breasted, gray-backed dove, the size of a turtle dove (larger?), with rounded, white-edged tail) Nov. 3 5 km N Villavieja, 1400 ft., Heila, Colombia, S.A. within about 20 ft. unnoticed by the birds. No use of the beak was made, the fight being purely one of wing- blows - and what sounded and looked like hard over. This continues for about 5 minutes, then one bird apparently gave up and moved off about 30 ft. The other did not follow. Nov. 7 Pereira shot 4, 3 & with enlarged eggs; one with ca. 10 mm., 2 with ca. 4 mm. eggs.
