"Lampropeltis" Nov. 18 Apeay, 17km S.E. Villavicencio, Meta, Colombia, S.A. RC5#5051 obtained from the army officers as dead specimen. It was killed this morning under a foot-scraper grating(wooden) at the foot of the porch steps at Officer's quarters. There was a heavy rain last night and the man assumed it had come to that spot (under the shelter of the porch leaves) to get out of the rain. The officers, unlike many of the local people, knew it was non-poisonous. It contains a number of large eggs
