Kendrickson 1950 Delignus Nov. 14 Bogota, 8700-8800 ft. Cundinamarca, Colombia, S.A. Look at it at my leisure - sometimes I delayed 5 minutes and he said the animal was still just as he first saw it. I stationed him to watch one animal; 7 minutes after being uncovered he reported that it had crawled out of sight under surrounding rocks. The animals were commonly found loosely coiled! ( ) to ( ) In one case I uncovered two large individuals, one resting mostly on top of the other. The soil temp. was 14.4°C. The rock measured roughly 15" x 8" x 5". Dec. 5 Dr. Stebbins and I collected 3 adults and some immatures in the same locality where they were collected before. The adults seemed much less common under the rocks than they were before.
