Kedrickson 1950 Journal 84 Nov. 30 El Mico, 4.hdm.S.,22 km.W. San Martin,1600 ft., Meta, Colombia, S. A. Paind most of A.M. Collected birds near ranch and prepared skins in the morning. Made 2 short excursions into the forest E. of the ranch in the afternoon. Shot a "Monstus" and a Sylallaxis albornese f. Carlos Balcazar (foreman of the employees here) collected a number of birds in the P.M. We prepared some of them as skins and kept others to be prepared tomorrow- A.M. After dark I went out night- lighing with Carlos and another man. We walked about 5 km. S to the Diejar River, then W. along the river. I shot and hit, but lost, a deer. We saw two Dmeiyon (?) which were unapprochable with the lights. No Caimans seen. Took one frog, one toad, one water snake. For today see species accounts of: Sylallaxis, Helicope, B. marinus Ptho Dec.1 Prepared bird skins and wrote notes. Saw group of monkeys near spring (see again account of Saimiri). In evening went (G:30 P.M.) with Carlos to forest E of Ranch; see species account of Caiman. Two of the men Dr. Medow and Pedro also went out collecting at night. They took
