Nov. 9 Villavieja, 1400 ft., Huila, Colombia, S. A.
in low river side woods just W of
chapel, after dark. Hyla crepitans here
were in the strongest chorus we
have heard to date. Met and
collected Cricket frogs for first
time here. One Microhyla was
traced and finally collected. L.
lineata and L. minuta were in
good chorus here, L. lineata strongest,
as previously noted for vicinity of
Villavieja. Collected Caiman 4 at
adjacent pool to one where most
of anuran works done. On return
trip to room, Dr. Robbins finally
collected the Thecabyctylus from
the chapel (.22 shot shell). At about
2:30-3:00 A.M. noted small bats flying
around the rooves of ripe bananas
hung in the room. Stove has
apparently broken down.

been made of the main collecting
