There were few grasses, but much of the clover-like plant. The vegetation is dense. A solanum flower plant was present. The 2nd head Phyllostus (MAL #122) caught at 3500m. in very dense vegetation. There is a lot of grass and clover. The bank also is heavily vegetated. The smaller of the mice was tan-ish. The larger had a dark patch above its head, like some of the live ones caught the other night. The habitat generally has 4 spp. of tree comprising the forest part: Synoris holli, Sephrocampyles gigantea, Areopanax sp. (a very large, bulky tree), and an Ericaceae. The slopes are mostly grassy.
