The other came around and landed on a nearby

Checked our traps. I caught 6 mice - 5 Phyllotis
darwini, and 1 new mouse, with shorter ears than
darwini and a very short tail. It looks like
a Phyllois. I caught it by the base of the tail
in a trap set beneath a brush on open rocky
slope of a gentle hill. Dr. Kofad caught a
juvenile Abdomen boliviensis, and 3 P. darwini,
and Ray caught a Westamps and a P. darwini.
We drove down to Taca, arriving at about 18:30am,
and spent the rest of the day there getting
necessary chores done. At 7:30pm we headed
towards the Paracas Peninsula, stopping at
10:30pm a little north of Ica. I will dispose
of the animals I caught today except for the
short-tailed Phyllois.
