Myrmal Henry 1969 Journal 72 Aug. 14 (cent.) 3 mi. NW Mosope, 100 ft., Depth. Lambreyegue. Tem warm and windless in the mornings and gets cooler + windy in the afternoon. The dunes here are crescent-shaped, with the wind blowing from the ocean side. The tops as hard, out the steep side of looser packed sand. There seem to be areas of this and areas of the rounded drumwoods upon which the Capparis with the bulbous fruit filled with little seeds about 3/4 in. long grows. The carniide druppsis 1/2 x I have found indicate the fepes here are eating these fruit. I found no bones in the scats. Ray set out 20 small Sherman + about 25 large Shermans. 9:00 p.m. Dr. Koford set out about 35 snap traps. 9:00 p.m. Dr. Koford and I took the lantern out to hunt for geckos. The night is fairly warm, justably a little above 60°4F, and the breeze has died down. We walked along the sand where surface erosion had exposed the rocks. We found no geckos.
