Myral Lorg 1969 journal 60 Aug. 5 (cont.) Aug. 6 Tues. 5, & Wed. Evening, 1230 ft., Depots Amadi, Pem [Lake Quawcola, 12 mi. forward from Colto to Clnr] (coral) that Indians had built. 10 snap traps around 1 wall, 15 around another. Upstream was another canyon. This one is narrowest of the three I know. There is only a trickle but supports dense ichu and mossy grass. I set 16 traps up this canyon in the grass + at rocks and holes. About 100 yds. above the stream, I found a toad jumping through the puna grass. It is its body is about 2 inches long and it is a light green color with darker green stripes. It was moist when I picked it up. I suspect this is the same frog species that has been making the croak-cloak-clock-clock noises we hear near the stream + lake side. Mr. Koford set 30 snap traps up the road along rock walls both to the left + right of the road. Ray set a box of small Sherman's over by the rock walls near by and near the road. I checked my traps. At the first rock wall, where the ichu was very thick and I had set 10 traps, I captured 5 Akodon. At the 2nd large rock wall where vegetation was sparser + I had 15 traps out, I captured an Audinmuss (MAL 250), 2 Phyllotis pictus, and an Akodon. These were caught at level between the rocks. Along the stream where I had 17 traps set I captured a Calomys scirillus (?) (MAL 251) in a large hole
