burn weather - 4 snipe, 6 mallards, several
groups of water pipits. Not much singing-

Returned and found Canvas Jay in the willows
by camp - new to my list for the study area.
The robin nest by the highway, above camp,

with 3 eggs as of yesterday.
John the birge arrived in the area this
afternoon, bringing 1 assistant, 3 dogs, and a
note from Weeden. He did not bring one
Uher tape recorder.
