Maclea 1968 Journal (18 July) its peak; 58 + 94 Pedicia from emergence trap I-9! How's that for synchrony?! I was curious that this trap was so far behind I-10. Per e. for the last 3 days (15,16,17 July) has checked only 3 arms of the cross of conear site I. Collected the 4th arm separately and will make a proportional correction of these spaced over the past 4 Days. In to put new soo samples in the jungle, then our to Birnirk for caribou dinner. Spend the evening writing field notes. The last soo samples from the flat island from the navy communications are producing a good unimodal collection around 14,15,16 mm. Larvae are still coming out, so I did not put the new ones in this bank. 19 July Bemow Alaska Transact day. Weasel wouldn't start, so off to a 10:00 a.m. start. It was calm, hot, and the mosquitoes were rampant. Forced myself to stay our until III A-B, IIA-B, II were done. After lunch met Dr. Herbert Ross of the Illinois Natural History Survey. Agreed to take him out to the tundra, then wasted half of the afternoon waiting for them (his wife and one other woman were with him). Did II, III, VIII & VIII and checked the insect traps. then left IX & X for the evening-
