It seems peculiar that Saguodon should be so localized here. Undoubtedly there are other colonies about, but so far we have discovered none.

Spent morning putting up birds. At 2 P.M. went over trap-line, taking in traps. The catch consisted of 3 Peromyscus maniculatus, 1 Reithrodontomy, 1 marsh wren, and 2 Lincoln sparrows. Put up two P. maniculatus but the birds were spoiled. Tonight put out 10 rat traps in hopes of catching Neotoma albigula.

Caught in traps -
One Neotoma lepida
" Peromyscus eremicus
Put up the two mammals this morning. Sick most of the day. Late in afternoon, about 5:00 P.M., noted numbers of bats flying. The wind came up about 5:30, and within 10 minutes there were no bats to be seen.
Set out no traps tonight, except one left at entrance of Neotoma burrow last night.
