Natfield. 1934 Colo. R., 1/2 mi. N Calif.-Nev. Monument, 50 ft, Clark Co., Nev. January 30, 1934 Caught in gopher traps - nothing - Took up all traps, and made 7 sets along bank of slough south of camp. Put up two gophers caught yesterday, and then this afternoon took 70 traps and went over onto island east of camp to make sets for Sigmodon. Set traps across island from east to west. Started at arrow-weed on east side and set a line toward the west. Found no signs of Sigmodon except on extreme west side of island, in grassy areas. January 31, 1934 Caught in gopher settings - one female. Took up gopher traps. Caught in mouse traps - 4 Peromyscus maniculatus These were caught along the west edge of the island, none on the interior of the area. Set out 22 rat-traps where Sigmodon signs were abundant. This took until 10:00 A.M. Skinned out and put up the gopher and 4 Peromyscus maniculatus until 3:30 P.M. Then went out and ran trapline again. Caught one ♀ adult and 2 young Sigmodons.
