Lathfield-1934 Lap Ranch, Colorado R., 17 mi. SE 319 Searchlight, 500+ ft., Clark Co., Nev. January 21, 1934. of kangaroo rat burrow entrances. Put up the iridescent warbler this morning and shot an Audubon warbler which I also put up. Benson and I then went north toward the Updyke Ranch and I collected speci- mens of each of the dominant plants composing the various associations in sequence, from creosote to arrow-weed. Benson took pictures of each associa- tion. Then we went to the Durban Ranch farther north and set 10 sets of gopher traps, totalling 22 traps. Also got some water for camp purposes. Tonight I put up a robin shot by D. A. Feathers. Heard a coyote yipping a few hundred yards from camp. Spent some time during evening getting ready to move tomorrow. January 22, 1934 Went up to Durban Ranch early in morning and pulled in gopher sets. Caught only one out of ten sets. Left Lap Ranch about 10:00 AM and
