Hatfield-1934 Lap Ranch, Colorado R., 1/2 mi. SE. Searchlight, 500+ ft., Clark Co., Nev. 317 January 19, 1934 of bird life this area is. Came back to camp and then hunted in cottonwoods along a dry slough just east of camp. Shot a gilded? flicker Saw a red-naped sapsucker, two black-tailed? quateachers, numerous plainopeplas, a hawk. Set 50 traps on second bottom, so now have 100 traps out, 50 on first bottom, 50 on second bottom. January 20, 1934 catched in traps 2 D. meridiani 2 ?; 1? These were both caught on the first bottom, in the 50 traps left out for the second night. 1 Perognathus formosus 1 Neotoma lepida These were caught on the first bottom, to be designated as "mesa" from now on. There were many holes, but most of these had debris in them or were covered with spider-webs. It seems probable that P. formosus is hibernating now,
