January 16, 1934 Caught in traps – 22 Dipodomys merriami 9 ♂ 13 ♀ – one with 2x 12mm. embryos. 2 Reithrodonmys megalotis 4 Peromyscus eremicus 7♂ Perognathus penicillatus (two badly eaten by Onychomys.) Left trapline out all day in hopes of catching Ammospermophilus that had no luck. Heard an Ammo about sundown, but was unable to run it down. Set Macrotis specimen go tonight after tattooing its left ear with ink. Plan save 100 traps.
