Atfield -1934 Colo. R., ½ mi. N. Caluf - Nev. Monument, 500 ft., Clark Co., Nev. 338 February 10, 1934 Caught in traps - 3 ♀ gophers Put up specimens most of day. February 11, 1934- Packed specimens in morning. & n afternoon went with Orr to Wibos Spq. to set for gophers. Made 11 sets, and set 50 mouse traps at 2700 ft., 8 mi. S Dead Mtus, came back to camp the same night. February 12, 1934. Caught in traps - 3 Thomomys 5 Dipodomys merriami; 3♂♂, 2♀♀ 7 Perognathus crinitus; 4♂♂, 3♀♀ 4 " eremicus; all ♂♂ 1 Neotoma lepida ♂ Traps were set about 50 ft. apart. Shot 2 Ammospermophilus, one sage thrasher. Tonight went up to trap for gophers again. Caught one during day. Set 50 mouse traps in same locality as last night. Left gopher sets out.
