5 km N, 5 km E of Pomacochus, Dept. of Amazonas,
Peru, elevation 6000 ft.
August 29 misfired. I must have done something wrong.
About 10:00 we broke camp.
En route to Rio Chunchuca, Dept. Cajamarca, Peru
On the way we stopped at Pomacochus. This is a
very large lake, possibly a mile across and 4 or

marshes but could not identify either species.

Ray and Fred, who are returning home in several
days. We spent most of the day driving, retrac-
ing our earlier route. About 16:00 we arrived
at our campsite at Rio Chunchuca.

and succeeded in finding geckos, Leptotyphlops
sp., and Bachia sp. I found several likely-
looking trapping sites plus a hollow tree which
