R'slide shot #16 of "browse line" on clumps O & N of B sample. 11:30 took shots 17 & 18 of clump E & F to show sprouting for comparison & a shot of clump F taken last year. Finally found N stake for sample J" & it is 30 paces from "x". Left 4 PM to arr Obs Sway 4:35. Left 5:35 to checked pond 4 at 5:40. No beaver seen during this time. Oct 24 9:05 AM. New dam and much new willow cut- ting below main dam. Most of new asp cutting is in vicinity of shack & lot of that on my asp. sample. On asp. sample A the N stake mon- ument is about 3' S of last clump & a blue tack wand 17 paces from S stake. Left 11:30 AM.
