R'slide then dives to the bottom, stirring up clouds of silt, surfaces for branch on which it chews in the shallow. 7:55 doe on N shore. Mid finishes meal, swims slowly up to bridge cove where it lives. Large one in N channel; I think its' edge. Swims up main channel a bit, then blade down to dive in lodge. Kit scurried down over ring at 8:05 as I was leaving. Aug 12 Arr. tree on point opp "Fish" tree 6:25. warm & clear. 6:40 beaver floating in pond 3. 6:55 kit leaves "eye" lodge, works down a way to the junction & feeds at a point a little below this. 7:04 an adult swimming in pond 3 almost crosses down over the main dam, goes back to cross near the N end of "C" willow sample. Then dives into bank burrow, reappears & cuts willow from the sample. 7:10 another kit in pond 3; I'm still just below junction. Adult takes a willow cutting blade up to pond 3, being temporarily joined by the kit. Lost sight of both but kit soon reappears, comes on down to cut willow at spot on sample where adult just left. 7:17 kit #1 still working at jet. 7:20 I climbed down
