Hall 1955 292 Aug 1 Sagelten Creek, 3mi. NW Hobart Mills, Nevada Co., Calif. Upper ring on the low av. rate of cutting this summer. Weather has been clear, hot & breezy occasionally this afternoon. Left 3/8 R'slide at 6:35 PM, noted kingfisher at pond #8. Was in dos tree at pond 4 by 6:40 & saw a bit come up over the crossing & chew some willow there. At 6:45 another bit joined it from the N channel. 6:50 an adult comes up over the ring, dives into then out of lodge. Couldn't get a good look at tail.
