Hall 1955 280 June 30 Sagenten Creek, 3 mi. NW Hobart Mills, Nevada Co., Calif. Upper 10 A.M. Came on good set of large marmot tracks in dust of road on way up. Heel usually squared off as illustrated in sketch, some- times more plantigrade showing more: yy , 14" about average dis- tance between tracks which were in pairs consistently, like a weasel's, so I guess it was galloping. 11 AM took 1st 2 shots c telephoto, both of parent r.l.b. sapsucker at nest hole, one 25.6, one 24.5.
