Hall 1955 277 June 26 Sagelten Creek, 3 mi. NW Hobart Mills, Nevada Co., Calif. Rslide mentioned seeing yng. robins out of the nest a week ago. ♀ And warbler Pileated warbler but no beaver activity Left and went up to regular post at pond #4 by 8:10. 8:17 "mid-mark" or "moon-tail" came out of lodge, "cased" point" for 15 min then the ♂ came up over the crossing, seemed to nip at or mudge or chase the other before pro- ceeding to "mile channel" where he often goes. Another good look at mid marks & convinced me it has no visible teeth. Then another uniden- tifiable beaver, presumably "edge-mark" went up on N'dam to cut willow, return- ed to water & low. I climbed down at 8:35+ walked up to main pond where there was no activity so left at 8:45 June 27 Arr 9:45 Noted a ♀ hairy woodpecker feed- ing young in nest cavity 5½' from surface of main pond in dead large l'pole. Yng must be well along. Finished tallying use on samples H, I, & J (see next page), then left at 11:50 to wander around upstream. Dam flooding in pond #2 is broken down, 13 still in reasonable shape tho' no new ac-
