June 26 Sagehen Creek, 3 mi. NW Hobart Mills, Nevada Co., Calif.
R'slide on to 2 structures which I thought at first were lodges under construction. But think now they are remains of 2 dams ripped out & piled on shore by water co. people from Hobart. Saw a Tolmie warbler in willows.

Sample B: Clumps E+F much reduced & almost dead.
Sample C: Clumps A-D much reduced. Stems I cut in clump F turned brown about 6" below ant and figure produced new shoots below it:

Returned 2 PM to finish sample G. After supper I came down to watch for activity between the 2 "pseudo-lodges". Was in a tree by 7:05. Noted robin feeding large spotted yug at 7:20. Hoffmann
