Hall 1955 275 June 24 Sagehen Creek, 3 mi. NW Hobart Mills, Nevada Co, Calif. R'slide to eat currant + grass + small willow shoots. It dove in immediately when I made a squeak. 8:05 saw the other beaver white- to marked tail in N. channel, 8:09 one of the white-marked beaver goes up on N dam to cut more willow which it brings to lodge before entering. 8:10 I comes up over wing, go to cut willow at weir area of main channel. He seems to move about more than the other 2. Spotted a doe crossing below pond 3. 8:15 I comes down from weir + lot of willows, the other two beaver fall in behind him for a ways but do not fol- low him as he goes over crossing down N fork. Watched the "moon-marked" bea- ver for about 5 min on land + could make June 26 out no tests. 8:40 left // Arr. 9:45 AM. to tally use on willow samples since Oct 15 of last year. Walked down below "lowest" dam (Hards pond #1) to check report of Hard that there was much activity down there. There is another small dam about 60 or 70 yards down + good deal of recent willow cutting all thru this section + below. Farther down, almost to the water-intake reservoir I came
