Roadside Hoffman + we walked down to "Bend" area of roadside extension, actually below this extension + between lower end of its upper end of lower colony, to re-examine the tracks noted two days ago. They've blown since then and are not nearly as clear. We followed them from high up on the hill (where the animal had broken thru in several places) down to + across the level stretch where I first noticed them, to the stream which he'd crossed in the ice. Bob took photos of the tracks and I made another sketch: Drag marks of toe no longer visible. We felt that wolverine was the most likely suspect.
