At 12:10 took shot # 2 from burnt stumps between 16 x 18 (same position as for a shot taken Sept 9, 1953). 12:15, "hole" in second pond up above the main dam on N side had about 5 fish in it compared to 15 seen in mid-afternoon w Bob Rupp on Sept 8. Thought on asp. sampling - although the location of these was not as random as that of the willow samples, if they were usually picked to run three survey points which were picked fairly ran- domly since they were placed an average "visible" distance apart, suited to map-making & not determ- ined by distribution of aspen or willow.
