Sept 5 4PM. set 4 traps: one at main dam, one in chan-
R'slide nel where "scarback" was caught, one near OBS
lodge and one at the high dam just above
the lowest dam. Left 5 PM. Back at 10 PM to
find "scarback" trapped exactly where he
had been caught on night of July 19 or early
AM of the 20th. Absolutely no evidence of
berand on tail and hair on back had al-
most completely obscured "scarred" areas which
would be a v. poor field mark now. Resexed as
5 and marked tail: (W). Noticed scent pile
Sept 6 by OBS lodge,// Reset all 4 traps + checked later
that night but no luck//
Sept 7 or 9:20 & Bob Rupp. sky overcast. We noticed a
lower. heavier swimming in the main pond. Started
on -ailow samples. Sample A: N upstream cor-
