J.G.Hall 1954 209 July 25 Sagemen Creek, 6500ft, 3mi. NW Hobart Mills, Nevada Co, Calif. L.Roklide 9AM. Checked all 4 traps, no beaver tho' there were fresh droppings on the lowest one. The bottom just upstream from this set is just covered & droppings. Reset all 4 in afternoon. 7:25PM at OBS snag of lower warm Rokslide. Calm, clear, a few clouds. 8:05; (A) 8:45 N 8:05 one seen briefly in pond #3 at "A" & v. shortly after- wards old "Mangy" (O) OBS snag appeared at "B", swam to C & eate willow tips. The beaver seen at "A" could possibly have been mangy but was too far away to show any scars. He did just have barely enough time to have gotten around to B tho' not over the dam. mangy ate at C till Brooks, fishing upstream on the N side scared him over to D where he continued to eat. While at C I had a 8:07-15 (C) 8:15-35 (D) (E)
