J.G.Hall 1954 191 June 26 Sagehen Creek, 3 mi. NW Hobart Mills, Nevada Co., California U.Colony shows no new work. Dams just up-stream are being added to & the ones opposite rocky slope show lots of new material & are higher than on last visit. Three new, small dams have appeared upstream in general vicinity of station 32. At 11:0 o'clock a chickaree started to cross this section of stream on a log. Its mouth was so full of shredded bark that it almost tripped. Part way across it stopped and spent about 15 sec stuffing the bark in its mouth be-fore continuing rest of way across stream.
