June 17 Wyman Creek, 6750 ft., White Mts., Inyo Co., Calif.
a night hawk and a prairie fal-
con. Among all those rocks would
appear to be ideal nesting sites for the
falcons. At junction with stream we
stopped to do a little hunting in the
streamside willows. A night hawk
came once. Good many yellow warblers
here & some spotted towhees and a pair
of long-tailed chats of which I shot
the male after a 20-minute patience con-
test. Farther upstream I shot an imm-
ature spotted towhee. Checked my
traps & found 4 of the 8 traps had
Reithrodontomyss but nothing else.
