J.G.Hall 1954 188 June 17 Wyman Creek, 6750 ft., White Mts., Inyo Co., Calif. a night hawk and a prairie fal- con. Among all those rocks would appear to be ideal nesting sites for the falcons. At junction with stream we stopped to do a little hunting in the streamside willows. A night hawk came once. Good many yellow warblers here & some spotted towhees and a pair of long-tailed chats of which I shot the male after a 20-minute patience con- test. Farther upstream I shot an imm- ature spotted towhee. Checked my traps & found 4 of the 8 traps had Reithrodontomyss but nothing else. June 19 Sagehen Creek, 3 mi. NW Hobart Mills, Nevada Co., Calif. RSlide Went c Leopold, Dick Hard, Jerry Russell and Dr. Hedham to Rockslide Colony. Creeper has noo nest under bark in a lpole in main pond. Caught a medium-sized rubber boa on a rock a few feet out in the pond. Not a great deal of new beaver work above main dam.” Went c Leopold, Bob & Dick up to Bob’s Grouse area. Jerry1 Fox sparrows singing in the bean- otherus brush. Heard grouse hooting and flushed two. Heard tanagers but couldn’t get good looks at them.
